So, last month, I had a rather successful day at the London and South-East Craft Brewing Competition. Having entered the maximum of 3 categories, I picked up 2 2nd places for my Vanilla Bourbon Porter (VBP) and my American Pale, and a 1st for my Milk Stout and. Based on these placings, I was crowned Champion Brewer 2018.
Not bad in light of over 500 entries in the biggest home brew comp the UK has ever hosted.
My main prize, along with a host of others, is to design, brew, brand, launch and deliver a commercial beer with Fourpure Brewery. Unbelievable.
I'm feeling mightily proud, still in shock, slightly less sun burnt but very happy. A huge congratulations to all the other brewers and a massive thanks to everyone particularly the organisers and judges for making it the incredible event it was. Roll on next year! 😊💪👏🍺
